If you’re lucky, you’ll end up in this cosy nest on the banks of one of the Charente’s most beautiful rivers: the Touvre. Private access takes you right to the water’s edge, a real treat for the contemplative… The gîte is perfect for large families and groups of friends.
The place and the moment are magical, perfect for a good family meal. Outside, you’ll find a beautiful, fragrant flower garden overlooking the river Touvre and its unforgettable sunsets!
Accommodation
This 180 m2 family property, set in enclosed grounds with private access and facilities, comfortably sleeps up to 14 people.
On the ground floor: a TV area with a sofa bed, 2 single beds and a double trundle bed for children and teenagers.
Next door is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and WC.
Upstairs:
3 double bedrooms, two with river views and one with en suite bathroom. A second bathroom with bath and double washbasin on the landing.
The outside:
A dovecote has been converted just for you, with a unique, atypical double bedroom! Imagine sitting comfortably on your bed overlooking the garden, admiring the view and listening to the swans sing!
A wide range of facilities:
charcoal barbecue, mini trampoline, chiliennes, parasol, garden furniture, board games. The little extra: your pet is welcome!
Location
Located in the commune of Touvre in the Rue du Moulin du Roy, less than 20 minutes by car from Angoulême, Ruelle sur Touvre is 7 minutes by car from an INTERMARKET,
Supermarket and Drive. In Touvre itself, a grocery-store “La bonne goule”,
closed on Mondays but open on Sunday mornings from 8am to 12pm. Small village market in Touvre (Place Montalembert): Every Thursday and Sunday morning from 7am to 1pm. A bakery in Touvre as well as a tobacconist and chemist.
